Reached My Goal!

Tonight I reached my personal goal of 60K words! That's a WHAM!!!

My routine involved putting the kids to bed, sitting down at my desk with a cup of tea, typing or talking into a microphone until I'd hit at least 2K words, and then going to bed. I missed two days (one for being out of town without my laptop, the other for simply being too worn out to think), but every other day I made at least 2K. Never hit 3K in one day, although I had three days of ~2900 words. Whew!

I'm going to take the next couple days to revise and expand my outline to include all the cool things I discovered while trying to write my story and remove the things that won't work after all. My next goal is to write another 40K over November and December for a total of 100K for the quarter. Hopefully the story will be complete and I can start revising/rewriting in the new year. Best laid plans and all that...

Many thanks for Kevin's WHAM Template! It was a wonderful motivator for me to reach my goal each day and see those numbers go up.

That's an amazing technique. Would love to incorporate that. Also congrats on hitting your goal.

I won't make it to 50k, but I'm proud of my 20k so far. Never done this before, but I want to do it again.

Fantastic work! Congratulations. I didn't get to 50k, but I got past 30k so I'm proud of myself for achieving that much.

30k is amazing! Especially with everything you have going on; so, so proud of you, babes!
